HRM (Prof.) Adekunle Okunoye attended CAC primary school, Oniyanrin, Ibadan, Oyo State; Akinorun Grammar School, Ikirun, State of Osun; Oyo State College of Education, Ila Orangun, State of Osun where he graduated with Distinction in Mathematics at age of 19; He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria with Second Class honour (Upper Division); an M.Sc. in Computer Science (Group Technology) from University of Jyvaskyla, Finland with Eximia cum laude approbatur; an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio USA with 3.8/4.0 GPA; and a Ph.D in Computer/Information Systems from University of Turku, Finland with cum laude approbatur.
HRM Adekunle began his career at Bytech Consulting, an information technology consulting firm in Nigeria; worked at defunct Credite Bank, Lagos, Nigeria; Quantum Associates, Banjul, The Gambia; UK Medical Research Council laboratories (MRC), Fajara, The Gambia; was O’connor Fellow and Associate Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS) at Xavier University Cincinnati, USA.
Oba Adekunle was recently awarded a highly competitive prestigious Fulbright grant by the US department of state for his work on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and climate change. He is the pioneer Executive secretary of the African Society for Information and Communication Technology (ASICT); and the Executive Director, Training and International Scholar Program at the International Center for Information and Development (ICITD), Southern University and A & M College, Baton Rouge, UA; Visiting Professor of Computer Science at Kwararafa University, Wukari, Taraba State; Extraordinary Professor of ICT at Tshwane Univeristy, Pretoria, South Africa; and a Reader at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti. Oba Adekunle is a founder of Interquilon Solutions, an Information Technology (IT) and Education consulting firm in Cincinnati, Ohio USA, Francisca Karsten Solutions Nig. Ltd and he is the Chairman of the board of Trustees of Network of Kings from Osun Countrysides. Eburu Adekunle is a renowned Information and Communication Technology (ICT) consultant with various governmental and private agencies. Oba Adekunle is a Chartered Information Technology Practitioner (CITP) and a member of the British Computer Society. He is the Chairman of the board of Trustees of Center for Rural Affairs and Community Development, Iba, State of Osun, Nigeria.
