Who we are
Center for Rural Affairs and Community Development (CERACODE) is a private, non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Iba, Osun State, Nigeria. CERACODE, a duly registered NGO formed in 2017 in response to the yearnings of rural communities for all-round development most especially in developing countries such as Nigeria. CERACODE provides unbiased analysis and information on the challenges, needs and opportunities facing rural Nigeria and Africa.
CERACODE aims to spur public dialogue and help policymakers understand the rural features of public policies and programs. The center through her diverse programs builds capacity of community leaders and policymakers by providing technical support, applied research, policy evaluation, dissemination and outreach, decision support tools and training.
CERACODE is a clearing house for information on rural issues, coordinates rural research, works with state agencies and non-governmental organization on issues of importance to rural communities. More important, the center's programs and services are targeted at helping communities with effective and result oriented training for sustainable development.
More so, getting engaged in growing conversations around the globe regarding rural community and economic issues informed it's establishment.

The aims and objective of the Organization is to:

IDENTIFY SPECIFIC SOCIO-ECONOMIC NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITIES AIMING AT PROFFERING AID

PROVIDE INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS AND INNOVATIONS FOR THESE COMMUNAL NEEDS INCLUDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMUNITY BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STRUCTURES AND THE TRAINING OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

BE A SERVICE ORGANIZATION THAT ADVOCATES RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND WORK TO RAISE SUPPORT FOR RURAL WOMEN AND GIRLS.

FACILITATE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND TRANSFER THUS ENSURING SELF-EMPLOYMENT AND JOB CREATION

ENHANCE UTILIZATION OF APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGIES THAT PROVIDE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY SOLUTIONS.

SOURCE FOR LOCAL AND FOREIGN FUNDS TO MOBILIZE SOCIAL INVESTMENT SCHEMES AND STRUCTURES FOR THE ABOVE ACTIONS UNTIL THEY BECOME SELF-SUSTAINABLE

HOST ANNUAL CONFERENCE(S), SYMPOSIUM, WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS AND TRAINING THAT PROMOTES RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES.

PROVIDE CONSULTANCY SERVICES AND SERVE AS DATA BANK FOR ORGANIZATIONS, COMMUNITIES AND TOWNS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
